Sensei Mahesh Kushwaha, the driving force behind the Shotokan Ryu Chidokai Karate-Do Federation, India (SCKFI), has an impressive background in martial arts. Beginning his journey in the early 1990s, he trained under some of the most respected Shotokan karate masters, including Mikio Yahara, Hiroshi Nakajima, Hitoshi Kasua, and Pemba Tamang. Through years of dedication and rigorous training, Sensei Kushwaha has gained an esteemed reputation within the international karate community.
With advanced qualifications, Sensei Kushwaha has not only excelled in karate but also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Organic Chemistry, showcasing his diverse academic achievements. He has attained the prestigious 7th Dan Black Belt from the Karate Association of India (KAI) and the 6th Dan from the World Karate Federation (WKF), marking his expertise and deep commitment to the martial art.
In addition to his karate qualifications, Sensei Kushwaha has been an influential figure in promoting and organizing karate in India. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Karate India Organisation (KIO), playing a vital role in the development and management of karate events nationwide. Moreover, he holds the position of General Secretary for the Madhya Pradesh Shotokan Karate Association (MPSKA), where he oversees the growth of karate in the region.
Under his leadership, SCKFI has grown into a nationally recognized organization, boasting affiliations with 12 states across India.
